Your photos, organised by date, place and person

Waoo Photo is a private photo library from Waoo Network. Upload what your phone and camera fill up with, and it files everything into albums, plots the pictures that know where they were taken, and groups the faces it finds so you can browse by person.

Runs in the browser on any device. Every picture is served only to your signed-in account.

Six ways into the same library

Everything below works on the photos you have already uploaded — there is nothing to tag by hand first and nothing to install.

Albums, filed by date

Upload from a phone, a camera or a folder on your desktop. Waoo Photo keeps the original file and files it into an album, converting iPhone HEIC pictures so they open in any browser.

A timeline you can step through

Move back through the library one day, week, month or year at a time, instead of scrolling for ten minutes to reach last summer.

A map of where you were

Pictures that carry GPS data are plotted on a map and gathered into the places you took them, so a whole trip is one pin rather than four hundred files.

People, found by face

Waoo Photo detects faces and groups the ones that match. Name a group once and it suggests the rest for you to confirm or reject — nothing is tagged as a person until you say so.

Sharing you control

Send a photo or a whole album to people you name. Each share decides what they may do — download, comment, add their own photos, invite others — and can be given an expiry date.

Duplicates, found for you

Imported the same holiday twice? The duplicate finder groups files that are identical byte for byte and shows every copy, so you can keep one and delete the rest.

Your photos, your privacy

Private by default

Your library is stored on infrastructure Waoo Network operates and is served only to your signed-in session. Photos are never given a public link and are never shared with third parties.

Easy uploads

Drag files onto the page or pick them from your device. Photos and video are both welcome, and the HEIC pictures an iPhone produces are converted for viewing.

Access anywhere

The whole library runs in the browser on a phone, a tablet or a desktop. There is nothing to install and nothing to keep in sync.

Questions people ask

What is Waoo Photo?

Waoo Photo is a private photo library built by Waoo Network. You upload your photos and videos, and it organises them into albums by date, plots the ones that carry GPS data on a map, and groups the faces it finds so you can browse by person.

Who can see photos I share?

Only the people you name. A share opens only after the recipient signs in, and if you turn on resharing they can invite others themselves. Waoo Photo issues no public links, and any share can be given an expiry date.

How does face grouping work?

Waoo Photo detects the faces in your pictures and groups the ones that look like the same person. You put a name to a group once, and it suggests further matches for you to confirm or reject. Nothing is tagged as a person until you say so, and the grouping only ever runs across your own library.

What files can I upload?

Photos and video straight from a phone or a camera, including the HEIC pictures an iPhone produces — those are converted so they display in any browser. Drag files onto the page or pick them with the upload button.

Do I need an account?

Yes, and so does anyone you share with — that is what keeps a share limited to the people you named. One Waoo Network account signs you in to Waoo Photo and to the other Waoo apps.

More detail on what is stored and who can reach it is in the privacy policy and the terms of service.
